Director on the Board
Venkat Chidambaram is a director on the board of Western Thomson (India) Ltd. Previously he has held senior Investment management positions in Towry Investment Management, UK and TFO Management LLP, UK & middle east. He spent over ten years as an Investment Director with GAM based in London, UK. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University (AIU) in London, a MBA from Bayes Business School (City Univ.), London and served in the British Army Reserves.
Balu Murugesan
CEO
Balu Murugesan is the CEO of Western Thomson Group Pte Ltd. Previously he has held Senior General Manger Position in Engineering , Research & Development Department , M/S Brakes India Private Limited , INDIA. He spent over 29+ years in the Product Design & Development of Brake system ( Mechanical , Hydraulic & Pneumatic) for automotive applications ranging from three wheelers to multi axle trucks for most of the Indian & Overseas Vehicle Manufacturers. Additionally , he handled Hydraulic cutch systems & Advanced product development for Automotive applications. He received Bachelor’s Degree from Anna University & Post Graduation in Management studies from Madras University.
T. Govindarajan
Executive Director
Joined the Group in 1974 as a trainee. He is General Manager of Nippon Thermostat (India) Limited. Previously he was responsible for the management of the Oil Cooler unit of India Radiators in Pondicherry and was head of R & D with India Radiators. He has spent most of his career in R&D activities relating to the area of Cooling Systems and has extensive experience in this field. He holds a M.Sc Degree in Chemistry from the American College in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
Kevin Jackson
Senior Consultant –Design & Development
Kevin Jackson is a senior design consultant and part of WTI's design & development team. He has extensive experience in Engine Cooling applications having worked on global projects with several leading OEMs.

General manager Plant Operations
Mr S A Raman joined Western Thomson India in 2023 to overseeing WTI & PPI plant operations. He has over 35 years of experience in the field of Manufacturing and Quality. Prior to joining WTI he has worked in Easun-MR, Wabco TVS and Hindustan Motors Ltd. He is a Graduate in Engineering from BITS ,Pilani and holds MBA in Operations management. He is a Winner of State ,National and International level QC competitions and Presented more than 100 QCC ,CFT,SIT projects over his career.
P.Arun
Group Commercial & Business Development Manager
Having joined our Group in 2008, is responsible for New Business Development for Domestic and Export Markets and handles the commercial process of product pricing, RFQ’s and managing projects. He is responsible for the domestic Aftermarket business operations of our group. He is an MBA graduate from the University of Madras and has been a part of WTI for more than a decade now.
