Western Thomson (India) Limited (WTI), Chennai, was established in 1967 and today the company is a leading manufacturer of Thermostats, Thermostat Housings and Pressure relief valves for Passenger car, Commercial vehicle and off Road engine applications. We have a global customer base and a large presence in the Indian market. The company is owned by Western Thomson Group Pte, Singapore and we have two production facilities in India, a UK based sales/technical office, sales office in Germany and US based warehousing/technical support facility.

Our customers in India and worldwide include leading international OEMs, engine producers and Tier 1 system assembly companies. Our focus on Research & Design initiatives has resulted in an expansion of our product range and creating a continuous process of innovation and product development.

B.Vijayakumar Director of the Board & Group CEO

Mr Vijyakumar is the Group Chief Executive Officer and Director on the board of Western Thomson India. He has experience of over 28 years in Business Development, Industrial Finance, Corporate Strategy and Risk Management. Previously he was Business Head, SME with Cholamandalam and Chief Risk Officer in the Finance Arm of Adithya Birla Group. He also served as Country Risk Head, Euler Hermes India (Allianz Group) and spent 13 years with SIDBI. He is an MBA from IIM, Bangalore and BE (Mech) from College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad.

T.K. Kameshwaran Vice-Chairman

Kameshwaran is a Non-Executive Vice Chairman of Western Thomson (India) Ltd and is overall responsible for Group companies. He is a founder Director of Nippon Thermostat India Ltd. His previous employment was Managing Director of SPIC Holdings and Investments Ltd. He worked in the SPIC Group for over 30 years and was involved in Tamilnadu Petroproducts Ltd (one of the largest producers of LAB in India) from 1985 to 1996, where he was made Managing Director. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Venkat Chidambaram Director on the Board

Venkat Chidambaram is a director on the board of Western Thomson (India) Ltd. Previously he has held senior Investment management positions in Towry Investment Management, UK and TFO Management LLP, UK & middle east. He spent over ten years as an Investment Director with GAM based in London, UK. He received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the American Intercontinental University (AIU) in London, a MBA from Bayes Business School (City Univ.), London and served in the British Army Reserves.

T. Govindarajan Executive Director

Joined the Group in 1974 as a trainee. He is General Manager of Nippon Thermostat (India) Limited. Previously he was responsible for the management of the Oil Cooler unit of India Radiators in Pondicherry and was head of R & D with India Radiators. He has spent most of his career in R&D activities relating to the area of Cooling Systems and has extensive experience in this field. He holds a M.Sc Degree in Chemistry from the American College in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

M.R.Ramesh Assistant General Manager of Western Thomson (India) Limited and Group Head of HR/Training.

He joined us in 2016 and has more than 35 years of experience in Engine Cooling systems, tooling, machine building/ Stamping and Manufacturing. Previously worked as Senior Manager at Universal Radiators Limited, Coimbatore and in India Radiators Limited.

P.Arun Group Commercial & Business Development Manager.

Having joined our Group in 2008, is responsible for New Business Development for Domestic and Export Markets and handles the commercial process of product pricing, RFQ's and managing projects. He is responsible for the domestic Aftermarket business operations of our group. He is an MBA graduate from the University of Madras and has been a part of WTI for more than a decade now.
